A: Gutters and downspouts stop water that falls on the roof from pouring
down the side of your home and collecting near the foundation. They prevent
water from dripping on people in walkways, entrances and driveways.

per year: in the autumn, after the leaves fall; and in the spring, to clear
out dead twigs and seeds that accumulate at the begining of the growing
season.
